Josh Bokee: Proven and Fighting for You

Josh Bokee is a proud parent and candidate for Frederick County Council, District 3, running to ensure our neighborhoods have representation that delivers real results — not rhetoric.

He believes every resident and family deserves more — and should expect more:
The best schools; affordability for every generation; reliable transportation; safe streets and pathways for pedestrians and bicyclists; spaces that bring us together such as new parks and recreation facilities including a neighborhood & senior center and indoor aquatics; and a community where everyone is welcomed, included, and has a seat at the table when decisions are made.

Josh has a proven record of taking action and producing results across our Frederick community. He organizes stream and school cleanups, volunteers with the Frederick High PTSA, and chairs the County’s Transportation Services Advisory Council, where he advocates for essential bus, pedestrian, and roadway improvements.

He helped deliver technology access for residents in need — partnering with the United Way of Frederick County to distribute 5,000 new laptops and launch digital skills training programs that help adults participate in today’s digital economy.

Josh has served on the City’s Planning Commission and represented residents on the City Council.

He collaborated to help Frederick establish its first all-weather homeless shelter and supported zoning for a women’s and children’s rapid re-housing center.

He fiercely advocated for a full-sized indoor gym and recreation center at Butterfly Ridge Elementary, where none had existed before, and championed after-school arts education at Lincoln and Hillcrest Elementary Schools through a partnership between the City and The MET.

Josh supported the expansion of affordable senior housing using innovative state–county–local financing and voted to dedicate land for a future elementary school site.

He also fought to keep City water rates low, recognizing that rising costs hit those with limited incomes the hardest — and he knows affordability remains one of Frederick’s most pressing challenges today.

Now, Josh is ready to bring that same hands-on leadership and community-driven problem-solving to the County Council, ensuring that District 3 neighborhoods get the attention, investment, and results we deserve.

Because we should expect more.

Vote for Josh Bokee for Frederick County Council, District 3.
